WW II M-1 Fixed Bale Steel Combat Helmet with Type 1 Helmet Net
The steel helmet has painted OD finish over the rough factory painted finish, the finish is very nice with light wear. The light OD web chinstraps have brass metal fittings, the strap show wartime wear with light age and are nice. The helmet liner has factory OD painted finish and looks like it may have had painted Lt. bar on it at one time. The inside has light OD webbing and the leather on the sweat band is still light brown, but does show some age, and the leather chinstrap is also nice with some age. The light OD web liner neck band is marked with Quarter Master number and dated 1945, liner is marked with maker "Capac Manufacturing Co.". The “Type 1”helmet net has OD color with elastic band, the net is very nice with light age and wear. Overall set shows light wartime field wear and age. Exc. + $300.00. Nice Helmet
