Japanese WW II Army Officers Full Dress Hat

Hat is for rank of Captain. Hat body is made of very fine quality dark blue black wool with three rows of gold braid around bottom edge for rank, with one on top edge of band with five pointed gold star on top with gold dress cap badge on front with red and white dress plume. The thin black chinstrap is nice with gold side buttons with Gerry blossoms on each, the visor has black finish, the finish has some heat damage to the lacquer finish, this could be repaired with some work. The inside is lined with black silk type material with owners name in white thread, the black sweat band has red ribbon running through it. Overall very nice, the only real problem is the black finish on the visor, the gold braid is a little lose in spots but still very nice looking hat. Exc. $275.00
