Kriegsmarine Leather Double-Breasted Coat & Trousers

Coat is dark grey leather and is double breasted, the metal buttons are all there with grey finish, standard Kriegsmarine buttons with anchor. Coat has two slanted breast type pockets with two lower waist type pockets with flaps. The inside has black wool lining with one inside breast pocket, issue tag is worn and torn that is in upper top of coat, the inside shows some wear, material is worn on the opening of one the armpits, looks like it could be resewn with no problem, the leather outside arm pit has no problem. Overall this is a wartime worn coat with some wear and age but still nice looking and it sound condition and would make a great display. Coat was worn by deck and bridge personnel, even U-Boats. The grey leather trousers are still soft, they show wear and age with a few wartime minor repair, but still nice looking, they could use a wipe down on the leather, color looks a little dry. The inside material a bluish light grey cotton material, I see no markings. The waist has two slanted pockets, without pocket flaps, the fly has three buttons with metal hook at top closure and has adjusting strap in rear. The suspenders are worn and need some repairs, rare to even have them, most have been worn out and are hard to find. Waist is about 36/38 inches length about 34/35 inches. Overall set Coat & Trousers show wartime wear and some age, still would display very nice. "Consignment Item" Low Exc. $1000.00
