WW II Army 28th Infantry Div. 1st Lt. Service Coat Coat is made of dark elastique wool with gold eagle buttons with cloth belt with gold metal buckle. Has 28th Div. Shoulder patch on left shoulder, machine sewn, and has two gold bullion overseas bars on lower left cuff with OD wool officer cuff stripe on each cuff. Collar has very nice quality gold metal officers U.S. & Infantry officer crossed rifles with sterling marked 1st Lt bars on each shoulder, they are pin back and marked sterling and have heavy tarnish to the silver finish. Has very nice clutch back sterling marked "Combat Infantry Badge" with five ribbons, Bronze Star, purple Heart, American Defense, American Campaign and European-African Campaign with one silver star. Inside is lined with a light green silk rayon type material. Has name tag with owners name, nothing else. Overall shows minor field wear and minor age. No shirt or necktie. Exc + $135.00 |
