WW II U.S. Army Air Force Type G-1 "Gunner"s Auxiliary Helmet
Worn over a regular flying helmet and attached by straps with snaps. Made of hard fiber with dark brown finish and padded with strip of leather covered sponge rubber. Helmet was intended to protect a gunner's head against impact inside a Ball turret. Has nice black cloth tag marked with AF order number and marked size EX. Large. Helmet looks unused with only minor wear and age. Near Mint $200.00
