Vietnam Period U.S. Army Officers Visor Hat

Top of hat is made of very fine quality thick wool with dark OD color. Gold Eagle is screw back and has tarnished with age, the gold wire chinstrap has also tarnished with age, visor is hand embroidered in gold bullion wire on black wool., for ranks above Captain (Major & Above). The inside is lined with a gold silk rayon material and covered with plastic sweat shield, marked with maker tag, tag has come lose behind the shield. The leather sweat band shows some light age, there is no size marking but looks about size 7. Overall nice looking hat with some light age and wear. Exc. $40.00
