German WWII Uniforms
Army M43 6th Cavalry Regt. Obergefreiter Tunic

Army M43 6th Cavalry Regt.
Obergefreiter Tunic

Tunic is made of issue quality grey green wool with grey green matching collar with four patch pockets with six button front. The collar tab are the grey pattern with three grey bars each machine sewn to collar without backing. The shoulder boards are standard slip on issue quality with golden yellow silk rayon type piping with 6th regt slip tabs, hand embroidered in golden yellow. The breast eagle is bevo weave type, light grey on grey green, eagle has been replaced by me, was missing the eagle, the original one was machine sewn all the way through to the lining and had been removed at end of the war, it is now hand stitched. Also has War Merit ribbon & Russia front ribbon in second button hole, was there when I got the tunic and looks period, also has loops for one badge. The Obergefreiter chevron has two grey chevron on grey green wool and is hand stitched to the sleeve. The inside is lined with the light grey silk rayon material and is marked with RBnr number with size and M44 dated. Overall nice looking combat tunic, shows field wear with some age, wool is nice not worn out, does have a couple of wartime field repairs that do not distract from the tunic, will try and get some good photos of this. Tunic will display very nice.
