Luftwaffe "Reproduction" Leather Flight Jacket

Think this was made in the 1980's. SEE BOOK "Uniforms & Traditions of the Luftwaffe" Volume 3 By John Angolia & Adolf Schlicht page 268, shows Erich Hartmann wearing this pattern. Jacket is made of very soft brown leather with zipper front with two zipper breast pockets, with two lower waist pockets with leather pocket flaps, there are two adjusting straps, one on each side, the front leather flap that cover the zipper at the bottom has snap closure. Has bullion hand embroidered Luftwaffe Breast eagle sewn to right breast, the shoulder boards are the slip on type and have bright silver aluminum braid with two gold rank pips on each with golden yellow wool underlay, the eagle and the boards look like they could be WW II period. The inside is lined with a plaid wool lining and it has one inside breast pocket. Very nice looking and is nice quality. The owner was not happy after all these years it was not good. It would still make great display, real one would be close to $2000.00. Exc. + $500.00
