Army Infantry 88th Regt Major Dress Waffenrock TunicTunic is made of a fine quality smooth grey green doe skin type wool with dark green collar and cuffs piped in white with white piping down the front of tunic with eight button front. Collar tabs are hand embroidered in bright silver alumi wire on white and machine sew to the collar. Shoulder boards are the sew in type with bright silver alumi twisted braid with gold regt number "88' on each with white underlay. Breast eagle is very fine quality, hand embroidered in silver alumi wire on dark green and hand sew to tunic. Tunic come with very nice sliver alumi wire aiguillette. Has loops for long medal bar or ribbon bar with four loops for the bar with loops for three badges. Inside is lined with a light grey green silk rayon material with inside waist belt and edge weapon hanger with maker label with owner name and 1938 date in the inside pocket. Overall the tunic has nice bright colors, does have some moth tracks with some moth holes, still most do not show up over five feet away from the tunic and most are on the rear bottom skirt. Tunic comes with Army Officers Dress Brocade Belt and Buckle, belt shows some age and wear but still very nice. The 88th Regt was with the 15th Infantry Div. Overall this is a nice looking tunic and belt, shows some age but still it is very nice looking when displayed on form.Exc + $1500.00 |
