Army 2nd Cavalry Regt Oberstleutnant
Service TunicConverted Dress Waffenrock Tunic, named and dated 1937. Tunic is made of a fine quality smooth grey green wip cord wool with eight button front with dark green wool collar with cuffs on sleeve. Top two pockets are patch pleated and bottom two are the slash type with flap, pockets are made of the same type of material with nice match to the color to the rest of the tunic. All metal buttons are the pebbled type with dark grey green painted finish. The dark green collar has very fine quality officers collar tabs, made of hand embroidered alumi wire on dark green with two golden yellow bars on each, tabs are machine sew to the collar. Shoulder boards are the sew in type with light grey twisted braid with one gold rank pip and gold regt number "2" on each with golden yellow underlay. Breast eagle is very fine quality, hand embroidered in silver alumi wire on dark green and hand sew to tunic. Tunic has loops for medal bar or ribbon bar, set of five loops for seven or eight place ribbon bar with loops for three badges. Inside is lined with a grey green silk rayon material with inside wasit belt with tailor label in top with tailors label in pocket with owners name and 37 date. Tunic also has slit for edge weapon, sword or dagger. Overall tunic looks almost unused with only minor age and wear, very fine high quality. Near Mint $1500.00 |
