Luftwaffe Hauptmann of Flight & Paratroops Service Tunic

Four pocket tunic with open collar made of nice quality smooth blue grey wool. Pocket are patch pleated with straight pocket flaps with buttons, tunic has four button front, all button are made of aluminum with pebbled finish. Sleeve's have cuffs. Collar has silver aluminum twisted wire piping around collars edge, collar tabs are hand embroidered with silver aluminum wire on golden yellow colored wool, tabs are machine sewn to the collar. Breast eagle is the early drop tail pattern, hand embroidered in silver aluminum wire on blue grey wool and is very fine quality, hand sewn to tunic, this is very common. Shoulder boards are the sewn in type with bright silver aluminum wire braid with two gold rank pips on each with golden yellow wool underlay. Tunic has Iron Cross ribbon in button hold with loops for two badges on left breast pocket, there are no loops for ribbon bar, this is common has they have needle type pin, and did not need loops. The outside of the tunic shows light wear and some age but is in very nice condition. The inside is lined with a grey silk rayon type material with one inside breast pocket, also has cloth strap for edge weapon, on the breast pocket there are two initial of the owner "H.J." in bevo weave in red.
