Army 50th Infantry Regiment Hauptmann Tunic

Tunic is made of grey green smooth wip cord wool with four patch pleated pockets with scalloped pocket flaps with five button front. Collar tabs are hand embroidered in silver grey aluminum wire with two white twisted bars on each, tabs are embroidered on dark green wool base and machine sewn to the dark green wool collar. Breast eagle is nice quality and is hand embroidered in silver aluminum bullion wire on dark green wool base and hand sewn to tunic, the shoulder boards are the sewn in type with light grey braid with two gold rank pips on each with gold metal regt. number 50 on each, the gold finish on the pip's an numbers have tarnished some. Has Iron Cross and Russian ribbons in second button hole, there is loops for long ribbon bar and three set's of loops on left breast pocket for badges. Tunic has cuffs on each sleeve, the inside is lined with a dark grey green silk rayon type material with one inside breast pocket with slit in lining for edge weapon hanger. There are no tags or tailor tags, never had any, not uncommon. All buttons are the pebbled type with grey green painted finish. The 50th Infantry Regt. was with the 111th Infantry Div. Over all shows minor wear and age, very nice. High Exc. + $1850.00
