Made of a very nice dark blue wool with black velvet band with carmine colored wool piping with nice early silver plated cockade with 1st pattern silver plated Police eagle with silver frosted finish, chin strap is made of silver wire with carmine flakes woven into it, little tarnished but looks very nice. Visor is the the black fiber type. Inside is lined with the orange brown oil cloth material. Brown leather sweat band is nice but does show some age and wear, about size 55/56. Overall very fine quality hat with minor field wear and age. Exc + $500.00 NICE
