Luftwaffe Civilian (RLM) Visor Hat
For doormen, guards and elevator operators of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM). Top is made of Luft blue grey wool with bordeaux red piping and band with black leather chin strap and Luft black pattern visor. The metal insignia are made of stamped metal made of silver grey zinc, the eagle has one of the prongs broken off, it is still there. Inside is lined with the orange brown cotton oil cloth type linen material with the plastic sweat diamond with maker printed under the diamond in silver print, missing about 1/4 of the plastic diamond, marked size 56 and dated 1941. The leather sweat band is very nice and shows almost no wear. Overall hat looks unused with only minor age and wear, very rare Luftwaffe Visor Hat.
