Gendarmerie Police NCO/EM Visor Hat

Top of hat is made of police green wool with orange wool piping around top edge, also piped around the band, band is the pre 1942 type with light brown colored wool, later changed to dark brown wool later in 1942. Chinstrap is made of leather with black finish, the visor is the fiber type with black finish on font with green painted finish on the backside. The eagle is made of aluminum with nice detail and has nice quality cockade. The inside is lined with the orange brown oil cloth material, has plastic sweat diamond with maker printed in silver print, the plastic diamond has some small holes in it were the veteran pined souvenir pins. Sweat band is made of leather with brown colored finish, hat looks about size 55. Overall hat is nice and has no moth nips I can find , does show some age but nice looking, the sweat band is in nice condition, but just a little lose in spots. Exc. + $750.00
