"EREL" Made Army Officer Visor Hat

Erel was one of the best visor hat maker in Germany during WW II. Top of hat has very nice grey green smooth doe skin wool with thick white wool piping around top edge. Band is dark green wool with nice white wool piping, the wreath is made of stamped metal with silver plated finish, the cockade is the vented type with red wire mesh in center, there is hole behind the vent going inside the cap for ventilation, the eagle is made of stamped metal with silver plated finish, this has some light tarnish. The outside of the hat is very nice with light age, has no problems. The chinstrap is standard type made of silver aluminum wire braid. Visor is the standard fiber type with black finish. The inside is nice but does show wear from being worn on the head but still very nice with light wear. The inside is lined with gold colored silk type material with plastic sweat diamond with maker printed in silver print under the diamond, also marled "Extra" the sweat band has what looks like light brown finish and marked in silver print "EREL" , the leather shows some age from the hair oil. Visor backside has cream colored finish and has thumb print wear from holding the hat and placing it on the head. There are no size marking but looks about size 57/58.
