Gendarmerie Police "Meister" Rank Visor Hat

Senior NCO Visor hat, Meister NCO's could wear officers chinstrap but not the officers cap eagle, nor the collar tabs or bullion sleeve eagles. Top of hat is made of the police bluish green wool with orange piping around top edge, hat band is made of a medium brown wool and piped with orange piping with standard silver aluminum NCO/EM eagle with matching cockade. Chinstrap is made of silver twisted aluminum wire and fiber visor has the black finish with green finish on the backside of the visor. The inside is lined with the orange brown oil cloth material with plastic sweat diamond with owners name on paper tag in the name slot, hat looks about size 56. The sweat band does show wear and age with a few minor tears. The top of the hat has some moth tracking and a few moth holes that have been repaired, also has two wire mesh air vents on each side of the cap, one of the wire mesh vents is missing. Overall hat has nice shape and would display on shelf or on manikin head. Very good to Low Exc. $700.00
