Army Artillery Officers Field Grade Visor Hat
Wartime visor hat made for field service, made of a grey green light weight wip cord type wool with red wool piping with dark green wool felt band. Has hand embroidered silver alumi wire eagle on dark green with silver alumi wire hand embroidered wreath with metal cockade with light silver grey chin strap made of celleon cord, with black light weight fiber visor. Inside of cap has the light gold silk rayon material and has plastic sweat diamond, about 40% of the diamond is missing has only small part of maker, but maker was "Schellenberg". The tan paper sweat band is worn and missing about 20% plus, and shows heavy wear. Outside of cap shows only minor wear and age and has that nice field crush look. Hat would look very nice with nice field grade combat tunic. Overall nice looking hat with that field look. Low Exc $655.00
