1939 Dated Luftwaffe NCO/EM Flight & Para Troops Visor Hat

Top of cap is made of a wip cord blue grey wool with golden yellow wool piping around top edge, the black ribbed mohair band is also piped with the golden yellow wool piping. Hat has 2nd pattern silver aluminum eagle and swastika with very nice quality aluminum hat wreath. The black leather chinstrap is nice with light age, the black fiber visor is very nice with light wear, backside of visor has green finish. The inside is lined with the orange brown linen material with plastic sweat diamond, marked with maker under the diamond in gold print and dated 1939, also marked with size 57-1/2. The leather sweat band still has the light crème color and show almost no wartime wear, but the band is broken in one spot. Due to some collector pulling back the band to see if there are any marking, there is not. Overall very fine early quality hat with some minor age spots, just a couple very small moth nips that you have got to look for to find them. Exc. + $750.00
