Army Transportation Officers Visor Hat

Wartime hat made with rough grey green wool with light grey blue wool felt piping around top edge, the dark green band is made of wool felt also, and piped with the same grey blue wool felt piping. Eagle is made of stamped aluminum and the wreath is made of hand embroidered silver aluminum bullion wire on dark green with metal cockade. Chinstrap is the standard silver twisted aluminum wire type with black fiber visor. The inside is lined with a grey linen material and the sweat band is made of brown leather the plastic sweat diamond is marked "Deutsche Arbeit" in silver print, some of the print has worn off, hat is large size 58/59. Overall it does not show much wartime field wear, it does have some post war problems with some minor moth nips, these do not stand out much at all and the hat looks very nice and would display fine.
