NSKK Officer Visor Hat assigned to the Luftwaffe Standard Luftwaffe Officers cap, made of a very fine quality blue grey smooth wip cord wool with black ribbed mohair band with silver alumi piping. Has very nice quality stamped silver alumi NSKK cap eagle with standard type army pattern alumi wreath with silver bullion wire chinstrap with standard pattern black luft. visor. Inside is lined with a light grey silk rayon material with maker printed in silver print under the diamond. The grey leather sweat band is very nice, still has paper size tag in back marked 54. Do not think this cap was ever used, shows no field wear, does show some age, does not look to have had any other insignia at any time. There were several organizations that used Luftwaffe head gear and uniforms during the war, Police, SHD, WLS. For more info see pages 164 & 165 in the book "NSKK & NSFK" by Angoia & Littlejohn.
