M1920 Reichsheer Visor Hat with Carmine Red Piping Made of a grey green wip cord wool with grey green wool band with "Carmine Red" wool piping. Has the Reichsheer pattern wreath with the 1933 pattern cockade with the first pattern Nazi Army Cap eagle, wreath and eagle are made of stamped metal with silver frosted finish, cockade is also silver plated, all have some tarnish to the silver. Has standard black leather chinstrap with black fiber visor. Inside is lined with light brown cotton material with plastic sweat diamond, missing about 80 % of the diamond, marked size 56 1/2, also marked with some inks stamps but can not make them out. brown leather sweat band is nice but does shows some age and wear. The carmine red piping for this period was for several branches, 1. Ministry, 2. ordnance and equipment, 3. General Staff, 4. Veterinary. With the Nazi period insignia would say cap is for Veterinary. Overall cap shows age and wear but still very nice and Exc + $750.00 Very RARE |
