U.S. Army World War II Enlisted Uniform Set
Ike jacket, shirt, trousers, Garrison cap and neck Tie. Jacket is made of a nice quality OD wool, marked size 42R and dated Dec 23rd 1944. Jacket has on left shoulder Army Amphibious Shoulder patch and U.S. Army Forcers Pacific Ocean Area shoulder patch on right shoulder with Tech corporal chevrons on each sleeve with Meritorious Unit Commendation patch on lower right cuff, left cuff has one service strip and three overseas bars, all patches are machine sewn. Collar disk are the clutch back type "U.S. & Medical ". Has pin back Combat Medical Badge, unmarked with five ribbons, they are pin back. Garrison cap is made of OD wool with purple and white piping, marked size 7 3/8 and dated Nov 22 1944. Shirt has no patches or chevrons, it is marked 16 1/2 x 33. OD wool trousers with web waist belt, are marked W36 X L31 and dated Dec. 6 1944. Tie is made of a dark OD wool. Jacket, shirt and trousers are marked with the owners numbers in black ink "S-9967" cap and tie are not marked owners numbers. Do not know why shirt has no insignia, but it came with the set.
